It is our concentrated breath that brings our practice to life. Without this life force, we are merely practicing physical exercise. When we focus on our breath in the asana, we are uniting it with mind and body. It’s not about the individual posture, it’s how we approach it. If the breath stops, the union stops; teaching us to return to our breath.
